I’ll think that would look pretty good for a lantern as well. I’ll have to consider trying that out if I decide to get some candle lanterns.

Thank you for stopping by Marie! Yes I’ve chalk painted many brass items. I personally would use chalk paint or a spray chalk paint works nicely as well. Hope that helps.
