Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and Parmesan cheese.
Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve chilled over your favorite green salad.
Notes
For the best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. If you prefer a stronger basil flavor, consider using 1/3 cup of finely chopped fresh basil instead of dried. This dressing can also double as a dip for vegetables or a spread for sandwiches.
