The Ultimate Soft Buttermilk Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Tbsp. yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 6-8 cups flour
  • ½ cup butter melted (for topping)
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Mix together the first 3 ingredients (yeast, warm water, sugar) and let sit while yeast dissolves.
  • Add beaten eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, and salt.
  • Stir in 6–8 cups flour until dough leaves the side of bowl or a ball is formed.
  • Place dough in greased bowl. Grease top of dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled.
  • Form into 4 round loaves and put in greased round pans. Or put into two 9x13 pans.
  • Poke holes on top of dough. Pour ½ cup melted butter over the loaves.
  • Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese.
  • Let rise for ½ hour.
  • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Longer for the 9x13 pans.

Notes

The dough is sticky that is normal dont add to much flour I learned.
