Hey Beautiful People! We are thrilled to finally unveil Alea’s custom-made dress inspired by Audrey Hepburn. Although Alea wasn’t always the “ruffles-and-bows” type during her childhood, her journey took a delightful turn when she met Dean, allowing her to embrace her feminine side. As she began planning her wedding, she envisioned something elegant, vibrant, and vintage—much like an Audrey Hepburn-inspired tea party. The result was absolutely perfect, and her dress is a stunning testament to that beauty.

Finding The Dress
We embarked on a journey to find the perfect wedding dress, trying on countless options without success. It wasn’t until we visited Anthropologie that a few selections were made available for her to try. Unfortunately, none of those felt quite right either. Then, Rhonda decided to explore the store and discovered a beautiful cocktail dress on the floor. Alea tried it on, and it was just the right length with the perfect amount of poof. However, the top didn’t meet our expectations. We realized we could purchase the same dress and have a custom top made for her, which is exactly what we did.

Altering The Dress
So, with our two identical dresses, we took them to a talented lady we know who specializes in altering and creating wedding dresses. She’s an incredible seamstress who pays great attention to detail. Alea had her heart set on a boat neck top and wanted some extra fabric to layer at the neckline, but she wasn’t quite sure about the sleeve design. Therefore, we visited the seamstress with a few inspiration pictures and some fabric that Rhonda had chosen, which complemented the base dress beautifully.

Altering The Dress
The seamstress had Alea try on the dress and asked her to explain what she loved about it and how she wanted to feel on her special day. With the inspiration pictures and Alea expressing her desire to feel like a princess, the seamstress immediately knew how to design the sleeves and the back of the dress to ensure that Alea would look stunning and feel like royalty.

Accessories
We realized the night before the wedding that we had forgotten to get her a wedding purse. While rummaging through her purse collection, we stumbled upon a sparkly greenish-blue purse adorned with pearls, and we immediately knew it was the one she should use. She had found it months earlier at a vintage store, purchasing it simply because it was adorable. It’s delightful how a random vintage purse became the one she carried on her special wedding day. Alea, Lily, and Josie each adorned their hair with little pearl and blue flower pins, adding a charming touch of color. Alea chose her shoes from Reformation, and they were absolutely perfect, complementing the wedding vibe beautifully. If you want any of Aleas beautiful things follow Rhonda on Like To Know It.
