Yarn Christmas Tree DIY

Last year I made yarn trees and they added such a whimsical touch to my Christmas decor. Below I will share the supplies I used to create this look. But this year I did a different twist to the yarn trees. Here is last years diy yarn trees with twinkle lights.

Supplies:

  • Tree Cone
  • Chunky Yarn
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Small Wood Rounds
  • Pom Pom Trim

Yarn Christmas Tree Craft

Start by wrapping your yarn around the tree cone and slowly glue. Once it is done it’s time to add your trim. You can get creative here, I just simply wrapped it around gently. Then add a couple of drops of glue in some spots. I topped it with a wood star.

So you can either leave them as is or add a dowel with a wood round. To do this I stick my dowel directly into the foam tree base. Time to add the small wood rounds. I glued the round directly onto the dowel. But if you want to make it even more sturdy, you can drill a hole into the round that is the size of the dowel. Easy Christmas Table Setting

For this table I wanted a fun pop of red! With a simple cedar garland down the center scattered with yarn trees and tea light candles. Then white soup bowls with a napkin and gnome placed in them. This made for an easy Christmas table. Shop this look below with our affiliate links.

Stunning trees and table setting. Which yarn did you use for them? It’s different than the chunky yarn from last years set.
