Simple French Country Table Setting

It was a beautiful evening in the Pacific Northwest so we wanted to eat outside. And why not make the space pretty! I created this Simple French Country Table Setting. With pretty florals and candles hanging, how whimsical!

Easy Table Decor

I promise you don’t need an abundance of home decor to create a pretty table. Or you don’t need to spend a lot of money. It can really be created with items you already have around your home. I started with a gingham table runner. Actually I used a scrap piece of fabric I had and it worked great! I wanted a pop of color for this tablescape so I went with yellow, very springy. Shop our table runners.

We needed some fun at the table and I decided to go bold with this over the table rod. You can hang balloons and flowers, it adds such a special touch to the table. This isn’t a must, you can opt for a large vase with a beautiful bouquet. I will recommend when it comes to faux flowers, to spend a little more money to buy quality to get a real look. Throughout the arrangement of the flowers I added on a couple mason jars. It really adds a little farmhouse look.

On top of the runner I added this large wicker tray. It makes a great statement piece but it also makes it convenient for moving the table decor around. I used our new plastic scallop plates. We have a few pretty colors in them and they are great for outdoors if they get dropped they won’t break.

Then I use a cake tray for serving food. It adds an elevated look. Of course you need some candles to add to the ambiance. I used a large white pitcher for our tea. I love a beautiful pitcher! If you like little trinkets you could add this to the table now. Like little bird statues, little dried orbs.

Make sure when you are creating an outdoor space like this to still have fun with it. Add your own little personal touches, it will make the space pop.
