It was time I updated my table with a Simple Spring Tablescape. This time I didn’t go for super bright colors I wanted more of a moody, cozy look. I feel like Spring time is when people freshen up their homes and mine is so ready for a refresh.

Moody Table Decor

Do you ever just have something out for so long you get sick of it? Well that was happening to me. I’ve been so busy in the store, I’ve sort of neglected my decor at home. I just had a runner and a bowl sitting there for weeks so I knew I needed to change it up. I started by layering this jute table runner. I love that this is made of jute, it adds a lot of texture to the table.

I have always loved adding a tray. I thought this dark wood one would pair perfectly with the runner. Another reason why I love adding trays is because I am able to place most of the decor on the tray. And when we have company or there’s grandkids around it makes for easy removal to the countertop.

Of course to add that touch of Spring I wanted to add a little bunny statue as well as a little bird. They’re just so sweet and when I look at them I think of Spring.

Now for some height. I usually like to add a little cake plate or candle holders. It makes it so the tablescape isn’t so flat. Then to add a little drama to the table because that’s what makes this fun I grabbed a huge vase and paired it with some dried grasses. The grasses fit the dark moody look!
