Yarn Tree DIY with Twinkle Lights

This is one of the easiest diy’s I have ever done and it’s so stinkin cute! I purchased some tree cones and creamy yarn. Make sure you have a glue gun or spray glue handy. I personally would use spray glue. To begin you spray the bottom section of your tree cone. Then with your yarn start wrapping.

White Farmhouse Christmas Tree

While working in sections just spray the glue and warp your yarn. That’s it!! I know, so simple. If you want to add a final touch you can add a pretty star at the top or twinkle lights. If you know me, you know I added both. I don’t think I could live without twinkle lights. They just make any space so cozy and in spirit for the holidays. Check out another way you can create a fun look with diy yarn trees.

How to Keep Christmas Simple

To change it up you can create a fun colorful Christmas. You can do that by using different colored yarn and sparkling stars. I wanted to keep mine simple this time, so I could use these almost anywhere. I am all about keeping Christmas simple, I used to try to be superwoman but I just can’t do that anymore! Read all about how I like to keep Christmas easy and meaningful.

Lately I have been making lots of fun crafts. We created a very stunning mantel that even has pom poms! If you want more ideas for using pom poms for your Christmas decor, I also have a winter tablescape with pom poms and a beautiful bedroom with pom poms in a few easy steps.

We even made the trees with pom poms. This is a little more time consuming, as you have to glue on each pom pom. But they are oh so cute. Ok well I will admit the one on the left was my first try and it is a bit crusty, but still cute!

  9. I think this is where I’m supposed to leave my comment about my favorite part of Christmas. It seems the comments are about the blog post, which are super cute yarn trees. But — my favorite part of Christmas was spending time with my parents. I lost my mom five days before Christmas in 2017, and then my dad this past August. As I adjust to my new normal, this Christmas I will reminisce about past Christmas’s and find joy in the fact that I had such a wonderful family for so long. My mom loved Christmas so I am using some of her decorations and as I put up my tree, I will remember how my Dad always put the lights on the tree just perfectly so my mom could create her beautiful tree. Many, many warm and happy memories. Starting new traditions!

  10. Just beautiful, I love the tree’s and your IG! My one and only is 4. We have always done the classic Christmas photos as a family with Santa since her first Christmas, but we are just starting to create new Christmas traditions as she is getting older. We took her shopping to buy toys and necessities for other children and filled shoe boxes. We donated the boxes to our church, which will be shipped across country to needy children (Operation Christmas Child). She really enjoyed that process and had no problem letting go (only child, working on sharing). She voiced to my husband to take her to the mall to go Christmas shopping for me, so they have gone out a few times, a new tradition I’ll make sure they stick to! I’ve taken her to shop for my husband as well. She teases him we bought him stuff, but she hasn’t spilled the beans yet. It’s too adorable.
My little has also started making Christmas cards for her 9 cousins. My family loves this time of year. Many blessings to you and Merry Christmas.

  15. I love how the trees are a softer version of the tile behind it!

My favorite part of Christmas is…getting together with family. The yummy food and seeing the kids enjoy their relatives.

  16. Love your blog!
I am a giver of homemade baked goods during the holiday season. Baklava, and other Greek pastries are some of my favorites!

  17. My favorite Christmas craft has to be helping the kids with their school ornaments each year in elementary school, and pulling them out each year as the tree is decorated, such a gift to remember fun memories every year ❤️🎄❤️🎄
